Renovation is a result in an essentially new building within the framework of an old one. It typically meets new building code requirements. Rehabilitation is generally considered to be less substantial than renovation even though it usually involves repair of all the building’s basic system and elements of construction, such as repair of leaks and damage to roofs and exterior walls, windows and doors also are typically included.
